Overview:
This hands-on training course builds your skills in installing, configuring, and managing the Horizon™ View™ component of VMware Horizon™. Students gain practical experience with these concepts through the completion of hands-on labs. View includes: VMware View® Manager™, VMware View® Composer™, and View security server. This course is based on the Horizon 6 release.
 
Before attending this course, you must be able to perform the following tasks:
Create a template in the VMware vCenter Server™ system and deploy a virtual machine from a template.
Modify a vCenter Server customization specification.
Open a virtual machine console in the vCenter Server system and access the guest operating system.

Overview:
This hands-on training course gives you the skills to deliver virtual desktops and applications through a single virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) platform. It builds your skills in installing, configuring, and managing the View component of VMware Horizon® 6, release 6.2, through a combination of lecture and hands-on labs. This course teaches you how to configure and deploy pools of virtual machines, how to manage access and security of the machines, and how to provide end users a customized desktop environment.

Overview:
This course presents a methodology for designing and deploying a VMware Horizon® solution. The design methodology includes recommendations for the type of information and data that must be gathered and analyzed to make sound design decisions for the client systems, the desktop options, the VMware vSphere® infrastructure, and the Horizon components. VMware best practices are presented for each phase of the design process. During this class, you apply your new knowledge by working with other participants to design and deploy a Horizon solution for a real-world project.

Students learn how to configure security, manage images, perform a Windows migration, set up endpoint protection, and perform various management functions with Mirage. Students will also gain practical experience with View concepts through the completion of hands-on labs that include VMware View® Manager™, VMware View® Composer™, and the View security server.
